Nelson is the founder and CEO of Ax Ventures, Inc. He’s also a 5x USA Memory Champion and has climbed many peaks around the world. He founded Ax Ventures Inc. in 2018 to help people create memorable life experiences for others. Born in the UK and raised in Miami, Florida, Nelson moved to Saratoga Springs to be closer to the mountains. His vision for Ax Ventures Inc. is that help anybody achieve their dreams in the mountains and help them create lasting memories.
Denic Godston
Lead Kilimanjaro Guide
Denic has been guiding the slopes of Kilimanjaro since 2009 and has made it to the summit over 300 times. From Moshi, Tanzania, Godston is the lead guide for Ax Venture’s Kilimanjaro climbs. The slopes of Kilimanjaro are his office and according to the clients he leads, “Denic is a wealth of knowledge and a tremendous mountain guide.” It is important to Denic that all are accepted and treated with respect on the mountain.
Pasang Ongshu Sherpa
Lead Everest Guide
Pasang has been guiding in the Himalayas for almost 15 years. He has climbed to the summit of Everest seven times as well as a few other 8000m peaks. He is the lead guide for our Everest Base Camp trek and our trip coordinator in Nepal.
BETHANY ADAMS
Community Outreach Manager
Bethany is a writer, mountain athlete, guide and outdoor instructor. She holds a Master’s Degree in Community Development and has been published in Trail Runner Magazine and Outside Magazine. She is the first and only woman to achieve 100 Fastest Known Times, and in 2020, she and Katie Rhodes became the first women to climb all 46 High Peaks in the Adirondacks unsupported. She is passionate about mountains and has traveled to Nepal, Tanzania, and Argentina in pursuit of them. It is important to Bethany to represent women’s perspectives in outdoor spaces and to advocate for more belonging for all.
