OUR HISTORY
The idea for Ax Ventures Inc. came from a sad moment in life. In 2009, Nelson Dellis’s grandmother passed away from Alzheimer’s.
“I was very close to her, and I witnessed her lose her memory, right in front of my eyes. It was devastating.”
After she passed, Nelson started teaching himself memory techniques and trained obsessively. Over the next 10 years, he won the USA Memory Championships five times (Link to YouTube Channel).
“Since then, I’ve committed my life to helping create lasting memories; for myself and others. This is what led me to found Ax Ventures, Inc., a guiding company that helps its clients create memorable experiences in the mountains, another passion of mine.”
Having climbed around the world and having made many connections with porters, guides, and locals, it was important for him to create a guiding company that not only provides memorable experiences for its clients, but one that also works directly in the heart of the very communities that allow for such experiences to take place.

Whether it's summiting iconic peaks or discovering hidden gems off the beaten path, we strive to make every climb a truly memorable and life-changing adventure for all who embark on this journey with us.
